Looking back on around 30 years of the Hotel Altes Stadthaus, one essential pillar of our long and successful story comes to mind: our team! It’s thanks to them that our family-run traditional business enjoys its welcoming, hospitable reputation. We’re proud that among our 25 employees, 4 have shaped the soul of the house from the very beginning. Three more team members have been with us for 15 to 20 years, and many others for between 5 and 10 years.

A Good Team Spirit and Reliability
“New brooms sweep clean — we’ll show them how!” And that’s exactly what we put into practice. Our “newcomers” on the team are taken under our wing, gradually introduced to our processes and routines, and brought on board with our values. Above all, those values revolve around treating our guests and colleagues in a friendly, trusting way. Just as you have to trust the captain of a ship, the same applies with us: we can rely on everyone else on board.
Being an Important Part of the Whole
What sets us apart is that we find the right place — or the right area of work — for every applicant. If a candidate turns out not to be the perfect fit for the advertised position, we’re sure to find a different role for them. “Being an important part of the whole” is our motto — even when someone’s German isn’t quite there yet.

We have team members from around 10 nations, and sometimes we communicate better, sometimes less so. But we never give up. In the end, there’s always understanding — for the cause, for the language, and for the person. Alongside language barriers, we also have team members with mental or physical disabilities. Our team pays particularly caring attention to this. Together rather than alone — we’re all in the same boat, and on this journey, we want to make our guests happy. Only once we’ve achieved that are we truly happy ourselves.

We’re looking for service staff (m/f/d) on a part-time or mini-job basis.
You enjoy working with guests, you already have experience in the hospitality industry, or you’re simply ambitious. Training on the job is no problem!
